Modeled domain

Logistics

Logistics defines canonical business meaning for shipments, deliveries and inventory transfers. The model is deliberately business-oriented: carriers, origins, destinations, goods movement and receipt—not transport protocols or warehouse-system APIs.

Shipment

A business movement of goods from a shipper or origin to a consignee or destination.

Delivery

A record of goods presented or transferred to an intended recipient at a destination.

Inventory Transfer

A business movement of inventory between organizational or physical locations under common ownership or control.

Draft 0.2 cross-checks Logistics semantics against OASIS UBL 2.4 concepts such as Despatch Advice, receipt and transportation-oriented business documents, while retaining a smaller ABCS canonical model rather than reproducing UBL XML structures.

Business-only boundary: EDI transports, carrier APIs, warehouse messaging, routing engines, labels and middleware remain implementation concerns.
